Kara has also been telling us about all the different things that she doesn't need anymore, because she is a 'big girl'. On Sunday (the day of her party), she told me she didn't need her beloved blankie anymore and that I could keep it. So I did - until she woke me at 4:15 in the morning and was sad because her blankie wasn't in her bed!
She was able to celebrate her actual birthday with her friends at school (and they arranged the schedule so I could work in the preschool that day). The other four girls decided on their own to make her a birthday card, and it was so sweet when they gave it to her! She requested waffles for her special birthday dinner, which was easy to do and something everyone happily eats.
Kara is such a joy! She is a delightful little girl and we are so proud of her!
You hold my heart, Kara, forever and ever and always. I love you to the moon and back.
Just wanted to let you know that I am going to be reading along now that I know you have a blog. I didn't read all the past posts, but I skimmed several. So nice to "catch up." :-)
