Hoffmaster State Park

In July, we returned to the site of our very first camping trip last summer.  We selected the same site as the year before, for a couple of reasons.  It was literally the closest site to the beach (and it was still a hike!), and there was a creek that was just behind our site.  Cole and Kara called it our 'backyard' and our 'basement' and had lots of fun exploring the creek (black mud, water bugs...).  Mom and Dad also camped at Hoffmaster this year, and that made it even more fun.  The setting up and tearing down were much easier since we dropped the kids off at their RV!  : )

We had fun playing in the water, hiking, climbing dunes, and so much more.  It's such a fun time together as a family, and we create so many wonderful memories.  It really is the best kind of vacation!

Kids being brave crossing the creek on a fallen log.  I was spotting them as they were crossing.

Apparently I didn't do a very good job!  As we went to rinse off in the bathroom, we passed a little boy who said, "Boy that girl sure got dirty.  I bet she had fun!"  She did!  : )

Cole getting a lot more confident with his wake board!

Sweet Kara was so content to sit and watch the wet sand build up for her little castles.  The waves were a little too high for her, so we were glad she found something else to do.

After a long day of fresh air and exercise.  We all could have used a nap!

Pop It's = $1
Campsite Fee = $35
Grandpa & Grammie's RV = ?
Dinner that Mark & Kim didn't have to start a fire for AND having the kids entertained = Priceless!

Why yes, the kids are brushing their teeth using water from a shared cup and spitting into bushes Practicing good oral hygiene even on vacation.  Steve and I used to do it, so that makes it okay!  When in Rome...

First of several times running down the dune.

My goodness, the cute!
