Gymnastics

We needed to find something for Kara to do during the summer.  She could take a summer dance class, but I was honestly burnt out after all the work / preparation / drama of the recital.  One of the moms from dance heard about a gymnastics class, so we signed up all the girls to take the class together.  Kara had so much fun during class - always ran into the gym and was smiling when she came out.  They had two very creative teachers who worked great with younger kids.  We took a few pictures from behind the viewing glass, which was pretty far away from the classes.  Kara is wearing a pink tank top and multi-colored shorts.  : )

Because she had much more enthusiasm for gymnastics than she ever showed for dance, we gave her the choice of taking another gymnastics class or going back to Miss Tianna's for dance.  Kara picked dance without missing a beat, so she is signed up for the year.  Kara will be in the 4/5 year old class and take ballet and tap again.  Our little group from dance last year won't be together again, due to age and preschool schedules, but Kara seems pretty comfortable going back to her same dance studio.  At the recital, Miss Tianna acknowledged several dancers who had started their dance 'careers' at her studio.  Not that I'm committing Kara to 15 more years of dance, but its kind of cool to think that Kara could stay at Integrity her entire dance career.
