Getting Ready...

Mom had gotten Kara a book about being a flower girl.   Kara really liked reading it and we talked with her about what she would be doing when she was the flower girl in David & Katie's wedding.  In the book, the girl tossed flower petals down the aisle.  Although we told Kara that she would be holding a bouquet, she still thought it would be fun to throw the petals.  So Kara went into the office and sat at her lap desk for quite awhile and then came out.

She had cut tiny scraps of construction paper for her petals, and tossed handfuls of them down the 'aisle' as she walked!  When she had used up all her petals, she sat down and cut some more.  Kara probably spent at least an hour doing this, and while I did have to get the shop vac out to collect all the petals, it sure was cute!
