Kara's Beauty Shop

Mark and Cole took off on a Saturday to attend a workshop at Lowe's on how to build a Pinewood Derby car.  Kara and I were staying home to work on the homemade Valentine's that she was making for her grandparents.  She worked on them pretty diligently for about 45 minutes, and then said she was done and wanted to make me fancy.  At first I said no, because I had actually done my hair and makeup to run errands later in the day.  Then I said 'the hell with it' and let her have her way.  

An hour later I was transformed by a pound of drugstore makeup, 3 necklaces, 2 bracelets, pink sparkle nail polish, my biggest earrings, contacts (had to take my glasses off because they weren't fancy), 2 pigtails, and 18 hair clippies (scattered about my head).

The big reveal........

Kara was very proud of her work!  I think she may be turning a little 'Fancy Nancy' on me!

Kara then needed to dress up because she couldn't let me go to the ball alone!

This picture is from later in the day.  Cole wasn't feeling well and was relaxing on the couch.  I apparently left the pigtails in for too long, because when I finally took all the clippies out, my hair was pretty much stuck in pigtails!  I decided to pass on the errands and stay home instead!  : )
