Could she be any cuter? Kara was really excited about her big recital. She didn't fuss at all about her hair (which was a personal success story for me - I was able to get her hair into the required ponytail after growing her hair since September, using three handfuls of gel, and about 20 bobby pins!) and loved getting to wear makeup. She came twirling down the stairs and put on a little preview for us. Integrity is a Christian dance school and their song was 'All in All'.
Here we are before leaving. Where is Cole you ask? He was sulking about the attention his sister was receiving happily playing with his toys and couldn't be interrupted for a photo. Kara was all smiles after I dropped her off, and according to the other moms backstage, did a great job while waiting for her dance.
The following pictures are from the rehearsal, as we weren't allowed to take pictures during the recital. When her class (2 and 3 year olds) entered, there was an audible gasp from the audience when we saw how cute they all were! Most of the girls had their heads turned to the side (to watch their teacher hiding behind the curtain), but they all did a great job considering their young age.
And here's our sweet girl after her big performance.
It was amazing to be in a room full of parents who were all so proud of their child, at the exact same moment! Kara and the students at Integrity truly danced with 'Delight'!
