Summer Highlights - June

The kids spent the first few days of summer vacation with Grandpa and Nana.  Cole learned to play golf and got his own set of clubs, Kara spent a lot of time playing with her new Ariel doll, and other fun things.  They were reluctant to come home!  Pretend there are cute pictures inserted here.  : )  Mark and I got two big projects done around the house.

Mark and I went to the U.P. for our 10th anniversary.  We went to Mackinac Island, Munising (Shipwreck Tour, Pictured Rocks Boat Cruise), then drove to Whitefish Point (saw Tahquamenon Falls along the way) to see the Shipwreck Museum and Lighthouse.  We made an impromptu drive to Sault Ste. Marie to see the Soo Locks and Valley Camp Museum.  We had a great time and were happy to have time to travel by ourselves.

While we were gone, Cole and Kara spent the week with Grandpa and Grammie.  They had a full week as well!  They took a drive out to the country and found a really neat petting zoo and farm market, saw Cars 2, Grammie & Kara went to a Princess Tea Party while Grandpa took Cole go-karting.

With all the traveling, June was a quick but fun month!
